Collabs
There was a PM sent around about this ages ago but no one followed up on it, and I personally think that it would be a great idea to help rejuvenate the song writing forum. So regular good songwriters, get into pairs and post up the pairs on this thread so we all know who you are. Then we can have a little competition. Those who aren't making the songs can be the judges...
Who wants to work with me?

I will work with you. We could do it this way.
1. You write the lyrics first. 2. I adapt it a bit to fit to music. 3. I record the music onto my computer. 4. I post it on the acoustic myspace thing I made yesterday. That's right, myspace cos its easy (when it works). 5. You listen to it and tell me what you like and what you want changed, and how you think it should change. 6. We repeat steps 3 to 5 until we're happy with it. Sound good? If anybody wants to put any of my lyrics to music and record them, then let me know. Bear in mind that my lyrics are all songs already, so if I make a milliion from them you ain't getting any... but if I make some dough from somebody else's lyrics, they can have their share! So to start with, let me know which of your lyrics you'd like me to put music to. In order of preference if you like. I'll go through and see what I can do with them.

Well, specify how and who you'd like a collab with. Do you have any recording equipment? If so, you could write music for somebody's lyrics (I'm guessing there are more people writing lyrics than writing and recording music here?)

DRMO would you like to make music for my 'Reach Out' lyrics? They are some of my favourite lyrics and would like to see what you do with them
 I'm giving you free reign over them, do what you please, judging from your bands site I heavily trust that you will pull it off and do the song justice. |
