Obsession killed the cat
 

She smiles and knows that I'm neither here nor there
Wrenched between those forks in the road
A candle is alight, somewhere in my brain
and it's melting away next to broken dreams

The future looks back towards me knowingly
as I fall to sleep working out the mind
of a girl with a heart shaped necklace
and a knack for getting things wrong whilst getting me right

I splinter in a haze of green and eyes of blue
living in a dream and a world of split seams
tracing words onto her arms with my fingertips
to only receive a curve of the lips in return

There's a quiet obsession lodged somewhere in her body
or at least she tells me as I'm gripping to those letters
the L's, the O's, the V's, the E's, that spill from her mouth
to reply to a boy who has hung himself with loose lips

I faulter when I succeed and you see we are now content
Speaking in the silence, holding you when I am down
the boy is now the girl and this girl is afraid
of how much he loves you and everything he says
The obsession is a game and he sits on the losers bench
Always with open arms towards you as you sit upon the fence

This is one of my favorite pieces i've read about you, i'm pretty sure its my favorite i've read by you recently along with the one for you girlfriend.

"the boy is now the girl and this girl is afraid"

Maybe change it to "the boy is now the girl and this lady is afraid"? It would be less repetitive.

Really Really Really Good Man. I really like it a lot. I also Love the title.

I simply just like it alot but I wonder of the title can be retopic? it's either not relevant to the lyric or i can't find the relevant of it? well in either way, it's still damn good^^ I'm a little sad that there barely rhythm in there T^T
