Default A New Beginning

A NEW BEGINNING

Wake up in the morning with my eyes sewn shut,
Shower, dress, then work with my eyes sewn shut,
Another day passes with my eyes sewn shut,
My worlds crashing down around me so my eyes stay shut.

In darkness hiding from the pain,
Pitch-black everyday’s the same,
Afraid to see that nothing remains,
And each glance reminds me I’m to blame.

How much longer can I go on with my eyes sewn shut?
Living without feeling and my eyes sewn shut,
Can’t avoid problems forever with my eyes sewn shut,
Nothing can get better with my eyes sewn shut.

Some call it an epiphany,
But something sparked inside of me,
Its time to face reality,
And become the man I want to be.

No more walking blindly with my eyes sewn shut,
No ignoring, no more denying with my eyes sewn shut,
I’m done simply surviving with my eyes sewn shut,
No more slowly dying with my eyes sewn shut.

My eyes are now open!
I can see what must be done!
The changes won’t be easy!
But the changes have begun!

No more walking blindly with my eyes sewn shut,
No ignoring, no more denying with my eyes sewn shut,
I’m done simply surviving with my eyes sewn shut,
No more slowly dying with my eyes sewn shut.
