Dogwoods and Melancholia

Meh, it's not that good, probably could be loads better.

Dogwoods and Melancholia

Meet me in the back of the field
At the fence where we first
Fell for each other.
I come here daily, thinking I'll see
Those pale blue eyes echoing
Every promise I've made to them.
The tulips that once paved the way
Are now brown and dry and
That little dove that used to visit
Never has come home.
I showered this field with water
And with time but it's still lacking
That secret ingrediant that I
Ran out of when you ran out from me.
Meet me in the back of the field where
You'll see me laying against the
Same old Dogwood.
That same old Dogwood were we first
Carved our love into this world with
A knife and an unspoken promise.
So please come to the back of the field,
I promise that I'll make my echoes
Mean something this time.

Stop stealing Crowquill's songs.

Nah, if it was Crowquill's, I would've been carving letters into my arm and not a tree.

Bah, I swear I've seen that same thing in another one of your poems, though the other poem was rather old, I think it was back in the fall when I saw it.
