I like your face,
I like your smile,
but everything that comes out of your mouth is garbage,
the same way everything that goes in your mouth is garbage,
it's funny how that goes,
I'll spend some time trying to understand,
why you'll never turn your back on your discreditors,
must be safe, must be nice for now,
and nice for now is all we can live for,
right, wrong, ha ha

You say,
I've spent so many years in this soul-vacuum,
purging and plunging along the way,
never a dull moment, or a moment I could have done without,
except the moments I drown out with beer,
a lovely ineptitude, a lovely malaise,
I'll crawl through the gravel this cold night for beer,
and make my tormentors not of my own mind,
destroy my mind, destroy my mind,

It's the only way, so it seems,
I never had the heart to see it any other way,
a lovely plan to never make my stand,
and see how long before,
someone dusts me off their coattails,
I'm a sickness, a virus, a fish in the sea,
and now I'm off to school you see,
and then comes the job, and then comes marriage,
my solitude comes when I cry myself to sleep at night,
by my husband, the man that knows me best,
or the fractured version of what I once was,

And now you look at me,
and expect to find some hope , or expect to find some pity,
but I spent nights alone trying to enhance my brain,
We're worlds apart, and quite literally,
but I'll never hold your cold clammy hands,
to put your hands in mine, would be to have my
essence gobbled up by the huge swirling black hole that is your soul,
and now you expect to pick up on someone's coattails,
and have it not feel like a lizard stuck in someone's axle,
and being dragged down the road at 100 mph,
