Default Rhyme Schemes

Are over rated.

Most of the time we aren't hanging on the edge of our seat with anticipation wondering if the singer is going to rhyme 'above' with 'love'.

I personally detest recurring rhyme schemes because they sound too much like mother goose and reek of rhyming dictionaries rather than genuine feelings and thought.

It seems to me that it is enough to get the words to match the rhythm, flow, and mood of the song.

amirite?

I dunno, you could half-rhyme like they do in many songs. You know, sometimes rhyme, sometimes don't. I dunno, it gives freedom to the lyrics "sometimes". Other times that you do it, things just sound wierd...
