How to make my songs longer
They're really short. I can't put the chorus in too many times, cause that'd get boring, y'know? I hate sitting through a song where the chorus is repeated twenty times. Any way I can make them longer?

Just do a Sonic Youth & stick 3 minutes of guitar feedback in the middle of them.
|
play them at half speed.
or just keep them as short songs a la dwarves. |

Fruity loops drum solo, works like a charm! And when that gets boring just wail over guitar noise until the end.
I think I just heard a cash register? |
metaphors work for me... those can go on forever and once you can get one on topic, then the others will surely follow
|
metaphors are the best, you can relate to anything however you choose to

Use the standard pop song structure and the chorus wont get too long or boring. Just when people are sick of a verse - then in comes the chorus. This is the foundation of songs for hundreds of years.

Can I get 10 internets for knowing the reference? Or is it only the first person?
Also, songs shouldn't be elongated. They are as long as they need to be, period. |
just add unnecessary bridges/pre-choruses/pre-verses/instrumentals/interludes/breaks, it's what i do when i want my song to be longer! :3
