Post Ad Astra

Man, I haven't been on here in forever.....someone fill me in on what's new.
This is something I did that's purely experimental.
I think it would be a decent closing track or something like that.

It's slow, and it'd only be a minute or two long.
I'm not putting my usual markers in, so just read it how you think the pace should go.

Someone give me some feedback.....keep it or lose it?
I'll be back around soon.

Ad Astra

If your life
Was measured by an hour glass
Would you count the sand?
Would you turn it over and over and over and over again?

If you could know the days ahead
How many you had left to live
Would you choose to know, or would you just rather forget?

Or would you simply walk away,
And reflect upon the way things change

The fear of what we can't control

It drives us to eternity
It scares us into certainty

We know we can't keep moving on

And I know that time is winding down to the end
But I feel like this is where we should begin

If the sun was not alight in space
If the world were spinning out of place
Could you think of ways to pass the time, through the night?

I would leave the world behind
Make my way up to the sky
To the stars, I would go for peace of mind

Yes, I would leave this world behind
Spread my wings, and I would fly
To the stars, where I'll finally find

To the stars, for my peace of mind
