A Waking Dream
 

I wrote this really simple tune a while ago, and I'd love some thoughts on it if anyone is willing to share. As of now I keep the chorus instrumental, though I still may change that. Anyways...


When I wake up
from this dream I'm in
I'm gonna make up
for all the times I've missed in
I'm gonna live
for the first time in my life
and I'm going to give
all I've got cause it's what's right

So now I'm falling
through the clear blue sky
and I'm trying
to hold the time slipping by
but I keep falling
through my entire life
and now I realize
that dream was alright

I actually made up the second verse (and the title) on the spot, because, well, I didn't have one before. It could probably use a little work, but, I guess that's why I'm posting it here anyways. Thanks in advance for reading.
