*Important* Songwriting Thread Re-Launch *Please Read Before Posting*
 

On August 1st the songwriting forum in it's existing form will be scrapped and a new policy for posting in it will be introduced.

From this moment onwards we will only be allowing each member to have one single thread in the songwriting forum where they will be able to post all of their work.

From now until August 1st you MUST make sure that any threads you have in this forum are merged into one single thread.

To do this all you have to do is send a PM to a moderator stating that you wish to have your threads merged. We will then do this for you and your work will be safe.

For now we will be giving your new threads generic titles such as 'username1's collection' or 'username2's collection'. This is simply so we can tell who's threads have been merged & who's has not.

Also please don't send us lists of threads you want to keep or not to keep, we will be merging ALL the threads that you have started in here. Once they are merged together you can pick & choose which ones you want to keep or not yourself.

PLEASE NOTE

On August 1st ANY threads not put into a collection WILL BE DELETED PERMANENTLY

After August 1st and once all the other threads have been removed you may then change the name of your generic thread titled collection to one of your own choice.

If you are new here and starting your first thread in this forum please ensure you call your thread 'your username's Collection

If you have any questions about this don't hesitate to contact a moderator.

I will leave this thread open for any questions you may have.

I've merged a bunch of threads already. What I've done so far is naming all the merged thread into :

Username's Songwriting Journal

If you wonder where your merged thread is, try searching for yours. If you want to change the name of your thread, PM me or any of the other mods and include a link to your thread.

Hey I have a question. I have videos recorded with my band of songs I have written, and also written down.. Thing is I read some stickied thread about self promotion not being allowed. I wanted to know whether or not putting both in here in a thread called "Geetarguy's Collection" of course would be considered self promotion. I'm still new here, and I just really don't want to piss anyone off.

Okay thanks :) I think its better to have the music with the lyrics, it helps demonstrate the overall constitution/emotional feel of the music.
