Stars Fade
 

Stars of the morning pushing away
The evening sun burns the cloudy boquet
The valley's are rusting, preoccupied
With mountains on waves along for the ride.

The trees are alert and dancing with care
The murkey brook's song's alive in the air
The moon tends to caper, shower it's scent
The body of fans: a blind sunset.

Stars of the sidewalk launch in reverse
Birth of a life that's well unrehearsed
Metallic horizons comfort and cure
A bridge to a stairway, stumble and stir

Tattered old dreams and broken down sighs
All haunted by lucid tearful goodbyes
Dusty with ash the streets seem to thaw
A view from the common devil's claw.

Even in life there's death to be found
The armies of names will dive underground
The muffled last thoughts are drowned in grit
Don't expect anyone to give a ****.
