Awake
 

I actually wrote this for a friend.
And I was thinking about making it a song.
Should I? Or no?

Wakes up every morning,
And wipes her eyes,
Knowing that the night before she had to cry
She got out of bed
Putting a picture in her hand of some man
She throws it on the ground
Not wanting him around
And walks over to her mirror
And looks at herself.

Nowhere to go, no place to be.
She looks through those hazel eyes
And Knows this isn't how life should be
Seeing those eyes so dull and full of pain
Looking a herself knowing nothings the same

Time goes on and she feels nothing inside
But whatever it its brings tears to her eyes
She looks forward to that day that,
She'll no longer have to pray to die
Be killed in some sort of way
Well whatever comes that day.
When she'll no longer have to pray
She'll open her eyes and say I'm Awake.

not exactly my preferred style or genre, but good... keep it up.
