Hoobie Joobie's Song Lyrics.

Hi, friends. I'm Hoobie Joobie. I'm new here. Hoobie Joobie(s) is the name of a ficticious band than I came up with. They record CD's primarily about the misadventures of the legendary flying matted hedgehog, who's name is SnorkleBowser. Aka "Dream Of The Rainbow SnorkleBowser in 3 D."

I just thought I'd share some of my song lyrics with you all. Many of my lyrics are inspirational. Some are quirky and moody. I also have written well over 200 song parodies. This is a slightly humorous song lyric based on a recording artist who develops an obsession with a music critic who gives them their only good review of their CD. I hope you enjoy it. I plan to post a few more lyrics later on... and possibly a few song parodies as well. Thanks for having me on the forum.
:)

Song For The Critic

(Verse)

I want to thank you I really do
For the kindly words and the great review
'bout how you loved my songs and you told me
How I could do no wrong

I want to say how much you really made me smile
I'd like to stay in touch with you for a while

I need your kind approval
All your words were true
Hope your next review for me is good too
If it isn't you know I'll be blue

(Chorus)

Song for the critic I love you too
Here's a song that I wrote especially for you
Thank you oh so much for your rave review
Here's a song that I wrote it's almost brand new

(Verse)

When I needed you so you were there
When you praised my melodies it told me you care
When you said I'd faltered I was scared
But that's ok 'cause nobody's perfect but God

So you liked all my lyrics then
'told me that I'd played so well
' all my words were spun like gold and that I sounded
Like an angel ringing a bell

(Chorus)

Song for the critic I love you too
Here's a song that I wrote especially for you
Thank you oh so much for your rave review
Here's a song that I wrote it's almost brand new

(Bridge)

Thank you my favorite critic
You really made my life
Now I'm feeling oh so glad
So glad you bought the hype

(Chorus)

Song for the critic I love you too
Here's a song that I wrote especially for you
Thank you oh so much for your rave review
Here's a song that I wrote it's almost brand new

Brady Madonna (Beatles Song Parody)

This is my song parody called Brady Madonna. A Beatles classic song based on the Brady Bunch show & movies. Enjoy!

Brady Madonna

Brady Madonna life used to be so sweet
Wearing silk pajamas bon bons at your feet
Greg borrows money now you have no bread
Bobby Peter Cindy set fire to your bed

Friday Janet storms out with her suitcase
Sunday morning dragged home by a nun
Bobby's yet to learn to tie his shoelace
Gee WOW What fun

Brady Madonna time to stop for lunch
Got to feed the brat's you call the Brady bunnnccch

Bru-hahahaha hahahahaha
Bruhahahaha hahahahahahaha
Bru-hahahaha hahahahaha....
The Brady bunnnncch....

Brady Madonna 'thing's that Janet said
'Marsha Marsha Marsha' running through your head

Tuesday afternoon is never ending
Alice quit your slacking days are done
The children all have chores that need some tending
See how they run...

Brady Madonna life used to be so sweet
Now Mike has run off boozing with his Secretareeey

.....THE END.....

I love them. Honestly. The first was amazing. It makes me think a lot about how a person reviewing things really feels. It's like so in touch with actual life. Wow, your inspiration must have been a strong one, because it shows through your words. Your second is funny in the ending, I love it!!! Keep it up!!!

Thank you so much. I appreciate the comments and I'm glad you enjoyed them. Actually, I have spent a fair bit of time reading album and song reviews over the years. I even used to read the Rolling Stone Album Review Almanac's. Back in the day when the reviews were witty. It's funny how over time certain bands like Queen, for example, have gained a respect they never had when Freddie Mercury was here. The RS Review Guide in '83 said that Crazy Little Thing Called Love was the only worthwhile song they'd ever done in an otherwise worthless catalogue. After Freddie died, I understand they changed their tune dramatically.

Have a great day and thanks again. I will post more soon. :wavey:

Edit: Actually review of Wild Cherry: "Qintessentially unfunky white band play unfunky music. The hit single was Play That Funky Music White Boy."

This is one of my sadder lyrics. It's ideally a rock ballad. Let me know what you all think, please.

Borrowed Time

(Verse)

Walking through my kaleidoscope garden
Looking at the colors as they grow just like a dream
Half past too late I hear someone say beg your pardon
Thoughts in my mind are never what they seem

I took the long way to the center of your heart
Searching for love just like a flower that had grown
You tore up weeds until you'd torn my soul apart
And I am lost just like a song you've never known

(Chorus)

We live on borrowed time this garden's such a scene
Tell me the truth what do you feel
This sorrow's yours and mine it's left us here to bleed
Hoping that the scars will one day heal

(Verse)

Time's winding down I know that it's the truth
I search through darkened places hoping I will find you
As every mystery leads me to another clue
I know you're out there I'm coming for you soon

You run and hide on me you know just what to do
While leaving me in tears this pain will never end
Just take a chance with me I know we'll make it through
A new horizon's coming up around the bend

(Chorus)

We live on borrowed time this garden's such a scene
Tell me the truth what do you feel
This sorrow's yours and mine it's left us here to bleed
Hoping that the scars will one day heal

(Bridge)

Touch the stony ground that's living in our hearts
Turn it to something else that makes it all brand new
We can grow if we only give ourselves a chance
Don't let the garden die now all we've got is truth

(Chorus)

We live on borrowed time this garden's such a scene
Tell me the truth what do you feel
This sorrow's yours and mine it's left us here to bleed
Hoping that the scars will one day heal
