All the days of my life

Yesterday, there were so many regrets
Maybe it was just a careless mistake
Or choosing the wrong way
You just want to go back to make it okay

Tomorrow, there are so many what ifs
Wondering about what is to come
Worried that it’ll go wrong
You just want to make sure it is okay

Today, everything becomes so clear
But we are anywhere but here
A smile, simple touch missed so easily
Kind words and chatter forgotten so simply
We go back to the past and to the future
See the moment passing
Leaving today to become yesterday
Tomorrow to become today
And the whole cycle goes again

All the days of my life
Passed before I could take a breath
Life’s a chasing after the wind
Thinking that today is still yesterday and tomorrow will always come
But what if it doesn’t

Today, everything becomes so clear
And I am staying right here
A smile, simple touch treasured so dearly
Kind words and chatter remembered so tightly
I’m throwing away the past, letting tomorrow be
The moment is passing
But before today becomes yesterday
And tomorrow becomes today
I’m counting my blessings over and over again

This is my first time posting something I wrote so I would like to hear from others for improvement.

Nightmares in my dream

Every now and then, I see your face
Your voice still lingers in my head
Your presence still around in my dream
Run away and never look back, my mind says
You’ll never get too far away, just wait till I catch you again, you say
This plays on and on, like a scene in a movie
Of a hostage escaping from his abductor

In my dream
I am always running
Sometimes I’m plotting how to escape; sometimes I’m just running away
You become bigger and bigger as I run further and further
Sometimes I will get caught, sometimes I will win
Different nightmares in my dream

I still remember that moment, struggling to fight against you
I thought I was losing but thank God for the strength He gave
Finally, we left you there but yet you persisted on
Your relentless phone calls and threats continued to haunt us so
Is it bad if I say I wish you were dead?

In the morning
I always wake up petrified
Unsure of what’s real and what’s not
What if being away from you is just a dream?
What if I am still with you when I wake up from it?
I pinch myself, I walk around
But when I see her beautiful face, I’m assured
I’m awake from the nightmare in my dream

Mama said that you’re really gone
You left without leaving anything
But we’ve gotten everything
At night, I tell myself it’s all right
Because now that you’ll never be here again
There will no more nightmares in my dream

Wow I think it is really great but to me, it seem more like a poem rather than a song as you wrote Run away and never look back, my mind says" You did couple of that.. You should do a big repetitively chorus that really stand out in the song.
