Loud Mouth Dog - You're Not To Blame

Here's a Metal tune I created with a friend on vocals. My good friend Tommy tried his hand at singing for the first time, and used one of his published poems for the lyrics (which you can find on poetry dot com). I know the vocal production could really use some work, but let me know what you think of the tune. I like feedback on these... good or bad.

Drums - Free track from drumsforyou
Vocals - Tommy H. (Cassette condenser mic to DAW)
Rythm Guitars - Plankton (PRS to HD500 Cali Treadplate amp sim to DAW)
Lead Guitars - Plankton (PRS to HD500 Cali Treadplate amp sim to DAW)
Bass - Plankton (Jaguar direct to DAW)
DAW - Audacity

So either this totally sucks, or it's so incredibly awesome that it has left 60 or so people speachless.

Gotta walk away from it, and move on to the new stuff. Me and Tommy have quite a few more in the works, and we're going for a Hard Rock/Blues approach. Kind of a Clutch meets Bonamassa thing. Should be interesting.

Well my interest is definitely piqued now haha. I can hear the old-school Clutch influence on this track. As for the vocals did you guys multi-track them at all? Same principle as Jimmy Page triple tracking his rhythm guitar parts back in the day, you don't necessarily need to have all the layers going at once but it can help fill out a lot of the vocal tone and beef up or accentuate particular lines, kind of like how you guys used reverb or echo to punctuate certain parts.

But what I'm most curious about is that PRS you list in the credits.... please do post some pics of that.

Yeah, I kind of layered the vox. I had one left/right dry, and one left/right wet (reverb) so I could back it off as needed. I'm still learning, and need to do some research on recording vocals for next time. Hopefully, I'll get better at it.
