Started posting lyrics

Hi All,

I'm an aspiring songwriter who is mainly focusing on lyrical content for now (also looking for a writing partner if you like what you see) as I have some learning to do both on guitar and other various instruments. Would love some feedback on the two songs I have posted so far, will be updating constantly as I continue to write.

Also, despite how I may be criticized for this, does anyone have any advice/suggestions/help on names of writing houses and production companies that hire lyricists or how to sell my music?

Hello.

it’s been a while since we spoke
the silence may not have broke unless I wrote
I’ve lost the words to say
you’ve always had my tongue that way
and I’m still sorry for the time I said
“I love you”
I remember every day
when your face lay on my chest
how you used to laugh
at how fast my heart was racing

it seems our time is over now
it tears my soul to pieces how
we were never alone on the dance floor

every night when I rest my head
even though it’s not you next to me in bed
it’s you who I am thinking of

out of sight
on my mind

I recall every kiss
even every time you dipped to avoid my lips
and that time you made me throw rocks
at your window in the rain
I still hurt inside
that every prize I kept of you
had to be destroyed as if our being one
was crumpled up and treated as a story on the cutting floor

it seems our time is over now
it tears my soul to pieces how
we were never alone on the dance floor

every night when I rest my head
even though it’s not you next to me in bed
it’s you who I am thinking of

out of sight

on my mind

remember me please
don’t treat me as a misplaced memory
I can’t stand to be a portrait collecting dust on your vanity

You have some really interesting lines, and I like how you make them flow.

this part is so wonderful....
