Rock Lyrics?
Are these any good for Rock lyrics:
Astronaut: Looking down at space So lovely...and frightening Looking down at space The tension is tightening Chorus: But I don't wanna be an astronaut, No, I..don't wanna be an astronaut, No, I..don't wanna be an astronaut... Just wanted to get away Just wanted to hear ya say That you're proud Staring down at space Sometimes I just wanna die Staring down at space Sometimes I just wanna ask myself why I went up into space Left my family without a trace I went up into space Cuz I couldn't take you anymore! Chorus: I don't wanna be an astronaut, No, I..don't wanna be an astronaut, No, I..don't wanna be an astronaut... Just wanted to get away Just wanted to hear ya say That you're proud Falling down through space Running out of air Falling down through space I highly doubt you care Even though, I did this all for you Now, you've really got me feeling blue Cuz I did this all for yoooooooooooooou Chorus: I don't wanna be an astronaut, No, I..don't wanna be an astronaut, No, I..don't wanna be an astronaut... Just wanted to get away Just wanted to hear ya say That you're proud Now I'm in my grave Speaking from the beyond Now I'm in my grave "I don't care," you respond... |

Essentially, that's boring pop/hard-rock, like Three Days Grace ****. If that's what you're shooting for, you've fallen a little bit short, but you're close.
If you're wanting to be a singer-songwriter and have lyricism that isn't superficial and weak enough not to warrant a second glance from just about anyone: Try for some less obvious rhymes. This is kind of sad with how obvious the monosyllabic rhymes are. I mean, ****, even Ke$ha has more diversity, and that says a lot. Also, actually connect with your subject matter. This is a cool concept, but it's convoluted and not really anything at all unique or extraordinary. Work on making it unique TO YOU, and work on making it less generic. |
