Music Banter - Lost (Hidden Far Beyond the Sea)

This is a poem (text to a song...?) I wrote last year on an evening off from school when my roommate was out. It was one of the first things I'd written since my band recorded an album and I really enjoyed writing it. I haven't had any musical inspiration for it yet, but I hope it comes because I'd like to use it sometime. If you have any suggestions or anything any musical ideas come to mind, feel free to post :)

Lost (Hidden Far Beyond the Sea)

Carry me to the place we were before.
Take me there, where the world can't seem to reach.
(We'll) hideaway here, in the time before we changed,
in the place where time has stopped

What do you hear? There's nothing there.
Nobody's calling; no one's around.
Where else can you go?
You're lost between worlds, but

The earth keeps turning, you've lost your place;
The past has gone missing; the future misplaced,
and you keep moving on,

But we're lost...in a place, far beyond the sea.
Hidden from the world surrounding us,
Lost, far beyond the sea and stars.
Where can we go from here?

Eternal happiness lures you away from the life you had.
Are you blind? What could you be thinking?
I tried to show you the way back home,
but you couldn't respond; you couldn't hear.

You run from the rest, wanting to find more, but
there's nobody left to answer your call
And you keep moving on,

Though you're lost...in a place, far beyond the sea.

Where can you go from here?

Where? Where can you go?
What can you do while the ground's still shaking?
The waves crash all around;
the clouds are rolling in.

Don't you know? The world has ended.
The war is over; there's no more fire.
In an instant, the world has faded to smoke.
The falling dust gives way to you, and the
rising sun makes it all clear,
