Got bored and wrote a poem, how did I do?
 

Waves at certain frequencies that create harmony
in the most beautiful of ways
That bounce off of the drums of our ears
and transfer to our brains for deciphering
for interpreting
for enjoying
Its sheer and unadultured ability to influence the movements of everyday life
bending it like the waves it is made from
making eyes water
making heads bang
making hearts pound
for something that has such a simple purpose
entertain
this creation can have so many effects on us
the reason why it thrives is because it is easy to create
and yet for its simplicity it causes such a wide range of emotions and feelings
happiness
anger
sadness
joy
it can wash away pain and replace it with wonder
amazement
whimsy
because even though it is just wavelengths
reflection off of the drums of our ears
it means so much more than any one man or woman
could ever fully comprehend
it can symbolize emotion in its purest form
it is a way of speaking one's own soul without ever saying a word
and even when words are spoken, they mean nothing short of everything
to the right listeners
they can reflect the entire generations in less than thirty seconds
and in more it can carve the way for new generations to come after
a song can be a driving force of a rebellion
of a convergence
it can hold memories better than even the memories themselves can
so why torture it
music is not an industry
it is an art
you may make money from this art
but it is not the driving force of this art
for that is nothing more than drab emotionless noise
all the heart and soul is lost when an artist makes their art
only to gain the riches of others
an artist should be respected for their work
not their looks
we should not invade their lives
invade their homes
and corrupt their precious art
just to satisfy out hunger for false truths
they should be left to their own and never sought after
for it does not matter how well one looks in a certain outfit
when they can produce one of the most beautiful creations that humankind as a whole has ever created.
