Hospital

"Take your medication, dear,
And maybe a couple of beers.

It's about drowning the pain,
And I can't help being insane.

Living in a hospital makes me sad,
And then I'm as aggressive as a cat."

Purple Shirt

"I'm wearing a purple shirt,
So I think I won't get hurt.

I have a cigarette in my hand,
As I listen to my favourite band.

I want to live in my dreamy head,
Otherwise I think I'll be dead"

Thanks.. I'm working on some poems, and later I maybe turn them into lyrics.

Brother/ sister in my honest opinon, unless you are shel silverstein your poem is a tad bit infantile.

My Psychology teacher from 10 years ago used to say "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple." which came from this poem, weirdly enough its always stuck with me.

We will have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practise a little now?
So people who know me
are not too shocked and surprised,
When suddenly I am old
and start to wear purple!

I started quoting some of it last year on a new college course to a person which...they just pinched my shirt and said "I see you took it to heart." I was wearing a purple shirt at the time....

New poem:

Take away the pain in my heart,
Make my life a little less hard.

Laying under my blanket at night,
Thinking about if this is the right.

Take a cigarette and light it on,
I promise you, I'll only take one.

Black Rose

I'm not an ordinary girl,
In my head I like to swirl.

But I still think it's all lies.

Down the hill

I don't want it to end,
