I play the music, and see what I randomly spit out during the course of the song.. this inspires me and gives me killer Ideas on how or what I want to write about, often time finding that many of the lyrics come from the random ideas that were initially thrown out there, sometimes I almost nail it the first time... always record, no matter what you have to record with... the music can sometimes jumble up your words, not to mention if its no perfect clarity you can almost hear what you'd like... Of course this is how I do it. Then i solidify the lyrics and throw it in there for real.
