O Moon -a poem
 

Hi guys,here is a poem i wrote 2 years ago and as its done well I thought i'd try it here.Also there is a musical setting of it that i did and i'll post that after.

O MOON!

O Moon! O Moon!
What have you seen?
What have you heard?

What trials of life have lay there before you?
What empires of man have you seen rise and fall?
Whose lives have risen,waxed and waned?
As you float there in the heavens. Far from blame.


Above our Earth,there you hang so silent
As humanity's struggles straddle our history of time
When man's lives are taken and turn all to dust
What have you seen?
What have you heard?


Empires grow,empires fall
You've seen it all,o ever watchful moon
The passage of history means but nothing to you
O moon! O moon!
