Default “Money World”

“Money World”

If the world didn’t revolve around money
And money didn’t revolve around the world
Respect for each other would be different
Respect for each other would be heard

Instead we choose to rant and ramble
Place bets, pay debts, and gamble
Our pride, our emotion, our morale
Shot to hell cause we played and we failed

Living in this money world
Twisted like a ‘nadoes whirl
Dollars burned, nothing learned
Living in this money world

Now all we’re left with is I.O.U.’s
A sad ending to an unfilled muse
How do we seal these broken gaps?
Shattered vows and mindless mishaps

We’re flirting with danger, so we’ve been told
This enigma we’re living is just getting old
Will they ever come to terms
There’s some things you just don’t learn

Living in this money world
Twisted like a ‘nadoes whirl
Dollars burned, nothing learned
Living in this money world

Life is a fight
And I’m dropping my gloves
Trying with all my might
Just to rise above

The insanity, the crime, the hate
Traveling across country
From state to state

It’s all become World War III
While trying to battle for what we believe

Suite crime versus Street Crime
Is how it’s being played
The rich keep getting richer
As the rest are being strayed

Living in this money world
Twisted like we twist our words
Dollars burned, nothing learned
Living in this money world
