Question 5 Favorite 80's Funk and R&B Producers

Who are your top favorites?

This was difficult to narrow down to just 5 but here goes!

The System (David Frank & Mic Murphy)
Leon Sylvers III (and his brother Foster)
Nick Martinelli (Loose Ends, 52nd Street, early Five Star)
Reggie & Vincent Calloway (Midnight Star, Calloway)
Jellybean Benitez (Versatile producer of R&B, Electro, & Freestyle)

I have more favorites but these are personally who I love listening to the most. I like Jam & Lewis stuff too of course but I've overplayed them way too much

Let's see...

5. GQ. They have a few hits I like.
4. Bobby Brown. Has a nice groovy New Jack rapping style.
3. Sister Sledge. A classical funk sound I grew up listening.
2. Kool and The Gang. Also listened to these cats when I was growing up.
1. The Limit. Greatly overrated funk band, a tinge of unpredictability within the genre.
