Y'all can't forget Sly and the Family Stone......how about "Everybody is a Star".

Which Undisputed Truth album would you recomend? I downloaded their debut and was a bit disapointed after how awesome the Red Riding Hood song you posted in a different funk thread was.

Currently, I am most enjoying

Spanky Wilson - Sunshine Of Your Love
Al Wilson - The Snake
Bobby Lynn - Earthquake
Paris Blues - Tony Middleton
Soul Time - Shirley Ellis

I absolutely can't get over Stevie Wonder - Blame It On The Sun right now.

Funk-wise a favourite is Funkadelic - Lunchmeataphobia

Cosmic Truth. It's a brilliant album.

^ Seriously catchy from the first listen.
One of those songs you'll either love forever, or eventually through overplay, be equally glad if you never hear it again.

Top of my soul listening at the moment is P.P. Arnold's 1967 version of 'First Cut is the Deepest'.

Jungle Boogie - Kool & The Gang
Papa's Got A Brand New Bag - James Brown

Funkadelic - Cholly
Ohio Players - Body Vibes
Stevie Wonder - I Wish
Cindy Scott - I Love You Baby
The Younghearts - A Little Togetherness
Nolan Chance - Just Like the Weather
The Elgins - Heaven Must Have Sent You
The Temptations - I Could Never Love Another (After Loving You)
The Isley Brothers - Summer Breeze
Sam & Dave - You Don't Know What You Mean To Me

And so on...

Barry White. (Soul, Ponk don't know)

Very nice taste. (bolded)

Did a short write up on A Little Togetherness here ...http://www.musicbanter.com/soul-funk...ul-cellar.html
