I've been listening to this thing every time I go anywhere in my car, and I have to say it's amazing driving music. No matter what mood I'm in it for some reason always makes me feel better. At first all the songs blended together, like it was an instrumental compilation, but as I passively listened more each individual song began to gain it's own personal definition. Lyrically I only know about the first six songs, which isn't much. It was enough, however, for me to notice how corny the lyrics are. Not that they're about corny things, it just feels like something my mom would listen to. In fact, my mom was dancing in my car to it. =/ Unfortunately now we have some similarity in tastes, but I never come around to Barbra Streisand.

Something tells me this isn't like amazing music, like it wouldn't compare much up against some of my favorite albums... but damnit I've been choosing this compil. over an opportunity to listen to those albums for days straight now. I just have a soft spot for this shit.

So, anyway, thanks for making the compilation. I really am thoroughly enjoying it, and, in fact, I even burned myself a two disk CD of it so I'll have it on me just for whenever. I'm currently getting the studio stuff good old Otis put out while he was alive, and hopefully that holds up just as well. I just hope this doesn't become an addiction.

Fantastic work on a basic but thorough soul compilation, sorry I've overlooked it for so long!
