Hey this guy is really talented, I cant believe I missed him until now, ^I like all of the above (Weldon Irvine) songs. Easy to see how influential his music would be to other artist. I like his style of music, a very unique sound & groove, horn section, keyboards, even the dynamics/sound from his main bass guitar/keyboard lines, (in my opinion), a very individual sound. Cant wait to explore his music further, Thanks! all..

4real, he moved on to becoming a mentor for many artists including Bernard Wright, Don Blackmon, Q tip from the Tribe called Quest, amongst many....he also worked as Nina Simone's pianist and wrote the hit Young Gifted and Black which was a hit for Nina as well as Bob and Marcia whose reggae version topped the charts. He also dabbled in Hip Hop very successfully himself under the name Master Wel, he committed suicide without leaving a note. A big talent that was obviously very tormented..... A great Loss
