Saw this geezer on Jools Holland last week. The kid has northern soul in his slick veins:

Heard about this guy from Rudimental songs: Feel the Love and Not Giving In. Then Love Me Again went huge and now this guy's everywhere. He has a really unique voice and I love it. Also 'Cheating' is a great song.

*Thought John Newman is Pop, but I guess he Soul as well...

The singles are awesome but most of the album is very hit and miss.

Still loving the singles. The guy has obvious talent and could make a truly great album.

He's a bit similar to Black Joe Lewis, or at least trying to be IMO.

He's been getting quite a bit of play lately, mostly selling his "Love Me Again" tune for commercial use. Kinda makes me feel he might be a one-trick-pony. Time will tell.

I prefer "Cheating" personally but he does give me the feeling that he is one of those guys that will have one or two great songs on every album, but not quite consistent enough. Probably judging him too quickly, but the rest of his album i hardly impressive/promising.
