Default D Angelo (Manager says new album for 2014)

What does Music Banter think about D Angelo? D Angelo was one of the main founders of the neo soul movement in the mid 90s with his debut "Brown Sugar". He plays multiple instruments, a songwriter, experiments with a variety of genres such as soul, rock, funk to name a few. Some of his inspirations is Prince and Marvin Gaye. He only has released two studio albums which are Brown Sugar and Voodoo and for over the last decade hasnt done anything musically but recently in January of this year he has returned to music through touring. He toured all of Europe and over the summer came to the states. I had the pleasure of seeing him live... and this man is VERY VERY talented the show was INCREDIBLE!!!

Have you seen THE video???--I don't even have to say the name of the song because most heterosexual women who know Deangelo know exactly what song I am talking about. The brother can sing and he is HOT as hell--what's not to like.

Oooh lord---- Deangelo-if you ever read this--not only could you eat crackers in my bed anytime day or night- you could throw your dirty socks on the floor- you could leave the toilet seat up - and I dont give a **** if you NEVER ask for directions----

Some of my favorite Deangelo songs are "Heaven Must Be Like This", " Lady", I Found My Smile Again"-- I really just like his smooth vibe and I'm pretty sure he is thinking of me when all that honey is flowing from his luscious lips

Some of my other favorite Soul & R&B artists are:

Kenny Lattimore--I have always felt he was under rated
Babyface
Maxwell--I heard Urban Hang Suite and it was a wrap
Joe
Sade-she's been around for a long time and she's still got it if you ask me
Keith Sweat - he was just the stuff back in the day
The Deele-"Two Occasions" is still one of my favorite songs after all these years
After Seven-"Ready or Not"-a classic
Bill Withers-

And I can't forget Gerald Levert---so sad he is gone--a beautiful man with a beautiful voice

Sugar Daddy is his one of his new songs that he is promoting on his tour..... I really like it, its very Prince inspired.

This video was the infamous video that made D angelo go away for over a decade... Apparently he didnt like critics hailing him as a sex icon more so than his efforts as a musician/artist.... He really had a hard time during this period he claims.
