Default Any fans of The Chronicles of Narnia soundtracks?

I normally don't like instrumental music, but with those it just works. I especially love The tracks Evacuating London, The Battle, Only the Beginning of the Adventure, and Wunderkind from the first movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe”. Evacuating London is one of my favorites as well, in fact I might consider it my favorite of the score; it really set the mood for the rest of the film for me.

There’s definitely some channeling of Howard Shore here and there. Overall I thought it had an identity of its own and flowed perfectly with the scope of the film.

I can’t say I’ve listened to the other two from start to finish.

My favorite track was Lucy Meets Mr. Tumnus. I think Harry Gregson-Williams was really on to something with the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe--his music really channels the emotions of the book. The movie is one of my favorite screenplays ever.

Speaking of Howard Shore, I encourage you to check out the Lord of the Rings soundtrack too...if you haven't already.

Does it even matter if we're on topic on this dead thread that, like, two people even cared about? If not, then I'm just gonna post a picture of Texas.

As the thread title is a question, I thought I'd tally things up and answer it; over a period of four and a half years, MB has played host to a grand total of four fans, including OP.

I was curious enough to look for a piece on YouTube, but unfortunately for the tally, to quote Arthur Lee, "If you want to count me, then count me out."

Actually, while I'm here maybe I'll rant about the following:

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a great book, but it's just a short novel written for children. In his lifetime, C.S.Lewis was embarrassed about the amount of attention it received. That it's become some million-dollar franchise with spin-offs that give employment and entertainment to so many adults must have the poor guy weeping tears of frustration in his grave.

I didn't interpret it, just enjoyed it. It was a powerful song to start the second act and get the audience ready to cheer.
The girls had a lot of fun with it.
