Today I've been "experimenting" with low-angle shots:

What I like about that building (Torre Espacio) is its "mathematical facade". American architect Henry N. Cobb designed it according to an ecuation. I'm afraid I won't be able to explain this properly (as a famous song says, ♪ "don't know much trigonometry" ♫; I've always been a disaster at Maths

), but it's like this:

y = cos (x)

OK, X is the base's length. Y is the heigth, which is the cosine of X. You know what I mean?

By the way, I had never heard about embassies in skyscrapers, but... yes, there are several embassies into the building. Some MB-members' countries represented there, I think:

I agree, they're not my best shots. But it's always nice to experiment, certainly. Perhaps in October I will try the opposite thing: high-angle shots. That is, from top to the ground. At the World Day of Architecture several buildings will be open to the public.

Another "experiment": birds. I had never photographed sparrows before, but today I must have had beginners' luck. At least that's what it seems to me. I put some bread crumbs on the ground and on a banister, stood still, waited, and....

I really like the results. What do you think, S.K.? Have you ever photographed sparrows or other similar birds?

^ Yeah, that's the best one to me. In general, today's been a great "photography day". A lucky one. Everything went well. I've been at the Retiro Park. It looked splendid:

I went to the Crystal Palace:

At the pond, there are several species of waterbirds. This picture was taken at grass level:

A swan? No, a goose. But point of view and bird's posture helped me to give the photo a "romantic touch".

Don't tell anyone.

Geese were very friendly to me. In fact, three of them got close to me. Very close. For a moment, I felt myself like Saint Francis of Assisi. "Let the birds come to me." Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!

Mallards had a "constructive attitude" too. Here you can see one of them posing:

Canada. More specifically, Toronto (which is where I live). All those pictures are from the same park.

I like to photograph old industrial buildings too:

That's a former brewery, built in the 1910's. It's been refurbished and nowadays it is a public library. I've been in there several times and never saw them, but, if there are ghosts there, they surely smell of pilsner beer.

More ducks. Yesterday:

Handsome drake, isn't he? I guess he'll find a pretty "wife" and then they'll have ducklings. Like the ones I saw at a pond yesterday. Using the zoom, I photographed some of those tiny hairy creatures:

So cute! Not even the Good Gremlins were that cute.
