Moss I think you can officially say Denver got the better end of the Melo trade, considering Melo is never going to play for the Knicks again lol.

Just some facts for everyone:

Since Westbrook came back from injury, the Thunder are 0-3, and each of those three games were at home. They have given up 114 ppg to opposing teams during this stretch. One of those losses was also to the CAVALIERS.

Facts.

Hey butthead can I ask you one more question?

Do you think that Lebron has every said or done ANYTHING questionable?

If not, do you think he is perfect?

Because that is pretty much what I am getting from your posts.

i think okc will be fine but westy is a tough guy to re-adjust to. hes sometimes wreckless but hes just totally balls to the wall constantly and hes so ball-dominant. i think he would be one of the toughest guys to have come back in the lineup when everythin was previously rollin along. i think okc will be fine and last yr in the playoffs it was obvious that they need westbrook when defenses clamp down and start doublin durant

i think he coulda handled leavin cleveland differently but i will never understand the rabid hatred followin the decision. hes at the very top of the pop culture pyramid, he wasnt gonna hold a press conference in his garage about it. in hindsight he even said he woulda done that differently. but for the masses to crucify him so hard and for so long over that is completely mind bogglin to me. unless youre a cleveland fan i dont understand why its gotta be somethin to hold over someones head forever. ppl literalyl act like he killed someone

and then after that everythin was under a microscope. ppl like u can try ur hardest to take petty, small things out of context to make him look bad but at the end of the day you arent bein a realistic or reasonable person. like the "not 1, not 2, not 3...' thing.... it was a jokey thing at a heat pep rally event lol. and ppl took that sooooo seriously. funny how now its actualyl a possibility tho.

and look at you hangin on jordans nuts like everyone does. full disclosure i love jordan. hes the best to ever do it at least til lebron is done. i realize he represents more than just what he did on the court - he took the game global and that era can never be repeated. but jordan is a HUGE ******* and always has been. he still is... but you wanna make him perfect in the same way that you say i try to do that with lebron. so what gives?????

Yeah not bad unloading the entire team to the Knicks. Look how that turned out. I love Melo but he never seems to make the people around him much better. Goes into ball hog mode like Kobe too often. hell of a scorer but so lazy on defense.

Well Melo just blocked James in the Heat-Knicks game on right now (currently a horrendous blowout). Melo also dunked over James too in this game.

butthead aka 216 02-27-2014 08:31 PM

melo can be lazy on defense but those things can be masked when you have other defenders on the team. the problem is that new york has no idea how to assemble a team. melo is in a class of very few elite scorers in the game, the fact that he isnt a shutdown defender shouldnt matter that much

its the fact that the knicks have put other terrible defenders around him.

felton = worst point guard defense in the league
jr smith - no defense
bargnani - one of the worst big defenders
amare - never has played defense

you just cant win with that many holes on defense and thats obvious. knicks are in a world of hurt when melo leaves.

i watched the pelicans last nite.... what a dissapointin and terrible team they are. it was brutal to watch them toss ball after ball into the stands and play selfish hero ball and miss layups.

i know ryan anderson is out but they just have a host of guys who drive the lane and fire up bad shots. tyreke evans, we are lookin at you bud. they just dont have the pieces to compliment each other at all. lots of injuries this yr but i dont see how rivers, holiday, evans, and gordon can all play together. changes are gonna need to be made

Moss 02-27-2014 08:44 PM

I agree with you but that's why Melo will never be elite. one player playing lazy defense can be the difference and it rubs off on the other players. Also, when Melo was in Denver you knew when the ball got to him it was going to stop. So the other players would stop running around and trying to get open knowing it was useless and it became 1 on 5 ball. I'm not a Melo hater, I didn't boo him when he came back to Denver, he put the team on the road to 10 years of playoffs (disappointing as they were). But he has some pretty big weaknesses when it comes to building a championship team.

The Pelicans went crazy mode with spending and trades and assembled what basically seemed like a Rising Stars team of just really young high upside prospects. The problem is that they have no one guiding them and they're too immature and have too bad of a coach to be taught how to play together. I think Anthony Davis alone will be able to make them a contender within a few years, but I think they REALLY need to trade Tyreke and Gordon somehow. I think Jrue Holiday is almost an elite point guard when healthy and that's harder to come by than mediocre ball hogging guards like Tyreke and Gordon.

jrue has been hurt so its not fair yet to say how the team will be when healthy. but i think a major problem for them is that they have no veteran leadership. a young coach, no vets, i can just sense that nobody is keepin the young guys in check and showin them what it takes to succeed in the nba.

davis is a legit stud and maybe between him, holliday, and anderson they can be somethin. i actually like tyreke just as a bench guy but in the 2 recent games ive watched hes wildly went to the rim every time he got the ball and missed/got blocked/threw the ball away. i really dont think theres a spot in there for gordon once jrue is healthy and i dont even think theres a place in the league for rivers. rivers and evans cant shoot at all and they dont pass either lol.

somethin nobody seems to be talkin about.... do the lakers have their first rounder this yr?? if so, they are gonna get a really high pick in a loaded draft. paired with kobe and gasol could the lakers revive themself next yr??
