There were a lot of role players drafted tonight. I saw few key players. I like the Harden pick at 3 for Oklahoma City. Everyone else I think will be drafting in a similar spot this time next year. Thabeet's a good center, but even Jay Bilas basically admitted on-air that his offensive game is limited at best. He went #2. Evans, Rubio, Flynn, and Curry are exciting, but in the NBA they're long-term projects that may or may not pay off. IMO if you're drafting on potential in the top ten spots, you've got a weak class. I'm just happy as hell the Bulls passed on Mullens, I was ready to hang myself from my ceiling with an extension cord.

How the hell did Blair drop to #37?! HOW?

I could see him starting for the Spurs next year. My god...

(I know, I know, his knees... but he's not even worth a second round pick? 6 teams passed on him with a SECOND ROUND PICK.)

Shaq in Cleveland....what the frick?

If that's true, I definitely like the Cavs to win it all next season.:yeah:

I can't believe T Will dropped to #11. I figured him top 3 for sure. Wayne Ellington might surprise a lot of people next year. Of course I also thought that about Chris Douglas-Roberts :banghead:

ChiliColdBlood 06-26-2009 02:25 PM

T-Will in the top 3? You weren't following any of the mock drafts then, were ya?

Heh, I like the Shaq move, but I think the Magic still beat Cleveland next year if the Cavs don't make any other key additions. With or without Turkoglu. That Vince trade was genius, IMO.

We'll see, postseason success has not often followed Vinsanity.

I like the move too, he's probably an upgrade over the Turk, but they still need someone to play alongside Superman to keep him out of foul trouble and help him on the glass.

Failure to do so cost Charles Barkley and Karl Malone, the 2nd and 3rd best powerforwards ever NBA titles.

Turk & Lee >>>>>>>>>> Vinsanity

Vinsanity is turning into Vinsenile cause he's so old. The Magic will be regretting giving up Courtney Lee for the next 8 years.

I'm not sure he's ever more then a role player

clarksided 06-26-2009 10:42 PM

Yeah Courtney Lee is not going to be much more than more coordinated and less athletic Trevor Ariza. That's good if you're a championship-caliber team, but the Nets are bad.

Also, Vince Carter has found another fanbase to frustrate and annoy with his bizarre and incomprehensible playing style. If the Magic planned on using him to take some of the sting out of losing Hedo, well, lol.

It's pretty crazy that Shaq is in Cleveland. But I guess the Cavs are pretty much unstoppable now.

I'll miss Ben Wallace.

Wait and see what they do at PF. They need to resign Varejao and pick up someone else, preferably 'Sheed. Then you can start talking about unstoppable.
