my god is anyone else already tired of this!!??!

im not homophobic. im tired from the aspect of the fact that hes gay and i dont care and im tired of this bein such a big deal

some ppl comparin this to jackie robinson.... smh!! not even close

some ppl sayin theres no way he woulda been drafted this low if he was straight.... smh!! hes not a great player

the rams could likely cut him before the season given their depth at his position, and that will create a huge storm as well!!

they keep replaying the vid of him kissing his boyfriend too... cmon this is like sensationalism and conflict reporting at is worst

does anyone else HATE when sports stuff spills over into the mainstream non-sports media and ppl!!?

I think this is the ideal way to view it, but it just doesn't happen that way in real life. It's easy to criticize the media for "over-covering" something that shouldn't be a big deal, but the fact of the matter is that it still is a big issue for people and awareness of it can help. Excessive coverage can certainly hurt as well though. I personally think the reality show surrounding him is a bit excessive, but if it helps other gay people deal with their own personal situations, I guess that's all that matters.

Surprised he got drafted, think it was mainly a publicity thingamebob. Had one of the worst nfl combines ever by a linebacker and is a fringe special teams player at best. Doubt if you will see him in an NFL game less the preseason. As for his kiss with his scrawny lil boyfriend, whatever floats your boat people.

its been all over the nfl media which i cant control. i wanted to hear about all of the draft picks and not half of the coverage of this guy just cause hes gay

to my surprise the media has seemed to back off this story but i think thats cause of the NBA playoffs. thank god. i havent seen much in the mainstream news either surprisingly other than that he signed a deal with oprah.

i actually do wish him well but there are a lot of guys better than him who were drafted, 200+ to be exact and i want to learn about them and what they do on the field. not what this random guy does in the bedroom lol
