I don't know exactly who PSU was playing while you were in school, but I know they have played some big OOC games over the last ten years. For example, while Ohio State opened against a weak Marshall team this season, they followed it up with Miami (FL). And while the games may not always be as close, there is tension in every game because you know any given week could be the end to your season. That is what makes the upsets so special.

I enjoy watching both sports. I think the reason people enjoy college so much is the purity of it. Those guys are just playing for the love of the game mostly. For most they wont make it to the pro's. I prefer professional though. The level of talent is just so evident when you watch. College a little more sloppy and things that work in college football dont work in the pro's. Like the option play for example. That and they are so strict with the celebrating in college. Even worse than the pro's. Not to mention the biased approach on the structure of the divisions. Pac 10, big ten and so on. Theres a double standard when it comes to rules opposing the sec mainly. That Ohio State situation is a joke as far as punishment. Just ask Dez Bryant his take on the deal. I bet he would have some interesting thoughts on that subject.

I like you. Right on with everything you said. The Ohio State ordeal is a JOKE on two levels. First, I'm not down with college athletes having severe penalties for some things. They sold some stuff that they earned. I understand they dont want boosters "buying" the memorabilia for way more than what its worth but jesus christ, these college programs make BANK on the play of these kids, and the kids hardly get anything. Some of them get a scholarship, which is nice, but it doesn't put any extra money in their families pockets. They bust their asses with school and football and most of them dont get a reward for it while the presidents are making a ton of money off them. Secondly, if you are gonna have these rules... enforce them! They get to play in the bowl game? Lol what kind of joke is that.. I know the NCAA just didnt want to see their precious Ohio State get crushed and add to the already embarrassing Big Ten's bowl game performances.

I hate the gimmicks of the college game. By that I mean being able to run three plays out of shotgun all game. QB read every time. Either hand it off or keep it, or sometimes playaction and throw it. I just don't like it, it's a gimmick. I like the NFL cause the talent there is a trillion times what it is in college.

Did you see a guy the other night get penalized for saluting the fans? Lol unbelievable. The kid just scored the biggest TD of his life that he worked his ass off practicing for years to accomplish, and some dip**** ref is gonna penalize his team 15 yards for a 2 second salute. Jesus, these kids are excited.. They just scored! Unless they are doing the ole WWF "suck it" or something then keep the flags in the pocket. Who is it really harming?

Yeah... I read about it on yahoo sports. Just reading about them fining that kid for throwing up a salute made my ears turn red. Come on guys give'em a freaking break! These guys push it to the limit and have a lot of expectations to live up to. Not to mention their only kids. Let'em have some fun. Kill joy refs never could play ball so they take it out on the ones that can!!

I look at it like this... When I watch someone play a sport I want to see the BEST. College is not the best plain and simple therefore I really have no interest in watching it. Just like I dont sit at home and watch Triple A baseball.

NCAA Mens B-Ball > NBA

NFL > NCAAF.

Football is just more of a sport for grown men, I don't think most players reach their peak until well after college. While basketball the peak tends to be right aroun the college timeframe, making for a better game and better competition.

The college basketball tournament is also the best in all of sports. Where as college football suffers from the disease that is the BCS, which really hurts the sport IMO.

I agree that the NCAA tourney is great, but the 35 second shot clock hurts the game so bad it's almost unbearable.

For sure. I think they need a 35 second shot clock, cause most teams only have 1 or 2 guys who cna hit tough shots, but I just hate the pace of the game. I hated high school ball too. My team was a juggernaut my senior year, and teams would keep games close with us by holding the ball all game with no shot clock. High school needs a shot clock but that's another topic.

March Madness is awesome... but when I watch the NBA I am just amazed over and over again with the shots that these guys hit on a consistent basis like it's nothin. It's just insane.

I didnt see a thread for him anywhere else so I figured id just use this one. I was glad to see Tiger make a run at least in the Masters this year. He showed signs of life and although he didnt win. He did manage to tie the game up at one point and put some pressure on the leader. When he arrived at 10 under par with the back 9 to go. Honestly I hope Tiger can start putting together some wins and reestablish his game. Though he didnt win, a fourth place finish is nothing to hang your head about at Augusta. He still has about a decade of good golf left in him, and many more chances for a green jacket. Overall im impressed with his play. His Birdie,Birdie,Eagle on the front 9 was a glimpse of the days of old, and brought back to life the galley of Tiger fans. It was exciting to see the famous sunday red shirt he wears making a legitimate shot at coming back. Though his efforts were to no avail this time. Im hoping it will be just the boost he needs to spark the Tiger of old, and rekindle some of that old magic we use to see on the course.
