The play itself wasn't special though. It was a simple screen pass that morphed into a flea flicker. It was a play where situation and pure gigantic sackage made it special. It's the play of the playoffs for sure but it's one of those things that is entirely praised because of the time and place. It's not like Jerome Simpson front flipping, or Marshawn Lynch dragging everybody and their mother to the endzone, or my personal favorite play this year...

Oh for sure it was the context that made it good. The entire team only practiced that play 12 times total over the span of three years, and it pretty much symbolized the entire game to me: the Patriots passing game was on point, and the Ravens pass defense was dreadful.

Damn, it's a bitch being a Peyton Manning fan. So many wet blankets.

Apparently his quad has been torn for the past month or so.

Please, Elway, FIRE THESE COACHES. I'm sick of getting brutalized by competent coaches in the playoffs.

Honestly, I think Manning is physically done. He should walk away with his head held high.

That second half was brutal. He looked terrible. Why tempt that again by coming back next year?

Manning is still better than most quarterbacks so if he wants to play another year I say go for it. Never been a big fan of coach fox. Way too conservative on the play calling.

Manning has had to change his throwing style to conserve his neck/arm to something that utilizes his legs more...this injury greatly exacerbated that.

I don't think he is done...just like I didn't think he was done after his neck stuff.

He still wants those all time records and to go out on top. Going out like this would be pretty pathetic for such a great career.

Heh. Funny thing. John Fox is out in Denver!

This is pretty effin funny:

I have a love/hate feel for football season. It means the end of summer, but it also means big huge spreads of food every Sunday at some of my friends houses. Nom.

As a 49er fan, I feel my team is like that hot girl you wanted to bang all four years of high school, and then you see her a couple years later and she's a gross meth head.

It should be a long season.
