Hahaa yes very true! Although I think by far the weirdest and most unwearable fragrance may be Sécrétions Magnifiques by Etat Libre d'Orange which is made to smell like a mixture of sweat, blood, and semen. Sounds horrible but I like that kind of ingenuity and fun. Commes des Garçons are awesome in that regard in the way they make normal fragrances like Avignon and Zagorsk but then they also make some weird fragrances like Odeur 53

The one expensive beauty product I use. Went on a visa run about a month ago and stocked up on it at the duty free since it's about three times more expensive if I buy it in the city. |

In around a month or less I'm getting my loan money! I plan on getting Encre Noire (beautiful bottle, fragrance is quite dark which is great), 212 White which is a wintery take on the original, L'instant de Guerlain Extreme which reminds me of hot cocoa, and Dior Homme Intense which also has chocolate but it also has Iris which is interesting mix. I'll be the best smelling man in eastern PA |
Now you mention it, all my earrings are purple, all my perfume bottles, and my bedcovers. Yet I wouldnt consider it my favourite colour.

I'm onto something

I'm a sucker for Marc Jacobs: Daisy. I go through this like Lindt boxes.

Just tried this one in NYC..
Bond no. 9's New Haarlem http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_7JAArcms7_...ew_Haarlem.jpg It's a coffee dominated scent and.. who doesn't like the smell of coffee? It almost gets better the longer it's on your skin. It just gets smoother.. and smoother.. and smoother. A fresh and rich coffee that dries down to creamy vanilla amber. Pretty much: crack. In other news, this fragrance is said to channel "a date night in Paris with your head in the stars" Van Cleef & Arpels' Midnight in Paris Pour Homme http://www.fashionmag.com/newsletter...eefarpels1.jpg Notes: "Black Lily of the Valley", Citron, Bergamot, Matcha Green Tea, Styrax, Benzoin, Tonka Bean and Incense. |
i wonder what percentage of perfume R&D goes into bottle design...

WOW! Just got a few samples of Noir de Noir and it is unbelieve.
http://www.fragrantica.com/images/perfume/o.1822.jpg It's based around "Black Rose" and Black Truffle. It opens with an almost boozy, slightly fruity rose. Saffron gives it a lil bit of spiciness, and then it dries down to a bit of chocolate bolstered by a smooth accord of vanilla, tree moss, and oud wood. I've never really smelled anything like it. Definitely suggest trying this one. |
No problem! :D That's how I was. I originally was really into them, but knew nothing about them. Then I started wearing Axe -_- When I finally thought about it and realized that 90% of guys were wearing it too, and couldn't care less what they actually were wearing, I started getting into them more. Now I'm up to 17 bottles with an innumerable amount of samples.

Do you buy samples or do you get them sent out by houses? And what's the best one you've ever smelled out of interest? Don't think I have smelled anything better than Tea for Two by L'Artisan. Like sweet, smoky cinnamon  . Pure Malt is probably the next I think. You seem much more knowledgeable than me though, I only took an interest about a year ago. |

Here's a tip for any UK girlies. Lidl (yes i know, but trust me) sell an eu de parfum for £3.99 called Suddenly Madame Glamour that smells just like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle look online it went head to head tests with it and was the winner. My sis wears the Chanel one and even she's bought this to wear for work etc, i mean at 4quid you can use like air freshener |
Freedom by Tommy Hilfiger is a good one. And I use it, it definitely attracts the gals.
