I don't see how so. Adrian can't run wild because there's always 8 guys in the box. Bringing the blitz effectively shuts down our running and passing game because our slot receivers have gone quiet and we don't have a running back who can catch those screen plays that were so effective during the 2009 season.

This offense is just bland and doesn't fool anyone.

Offer him a big contract, then maybe pick up another QB in the third round of the draft. Seemed to work here in Seattle.

Wrll 8 in the box is a qb dream. I think its a testament to how bad ponder is since he has the best rb in the league and pretty good weapons. The run game is only bad because of the qb position

The point is, when you QB can't complete even the short passes, he can't manage the game and the defense is going to give up a lot of points. It ****s everything up.

At least Ponder's kept us in every game so far, so I'm glad he's starting and not Freeman.

Well yea I agree but my main point was that qb for the vikes should be one of the best qb jobs. In a dome with a hall of fame rb

Eh, I'm pretty sick of all these stop-gap solutions. Vikes need to blow it up big time.

Their best year in recent memory came with a gunslinging QB in (at least what I consider) AP's worst year. I'm not confident that this offense can produce any results beyond maybe a one-and-done in the playoffs. I'm not advocating trading AP, but there needs to be a major change in how they run this offense. Of course, that isn't possible with the personnel they have right now though.

Except that it shouldn't. Our offense is just that bland. This is essentially the same old **** that was happening when Brad Childress was calling the plays on offense. Actually, it's worse than that.

I'm hearing Allen to the Seahawks for a 2nd round pick. Pull the trigger Rick, we don't need him and it's time to get Griffen some reps.

The word is now that this is and was never a serious attempt by the Seahawks. Possibly Minnesota trying to get more trade value.
