Nico Rosberg retirement

I heard today about some rumor about Rosber retirement from formula one! How can this even be possibile ?? I mean, he have just won the championship, this really sounds strange, I don't know if believe to this or not, what could be the reason for his retirement ? Family maybe or some pyisical problems ?
Also, this could be a very shock for the balance of the ranking itself.
