I was realy pulling for David Branch when he jumped from WSOF to the UFC. He was a dual champ in WSOF [185 & 205], so we know he can work. Maybe he was just a big fish in a small pond.

#AaaaaandSTILL!

Cormier retains. He choked out Lewis half way into Round 2. Lewis had already said that he wasn't ready for a title shot and that he didn't have the cardio to go the distance. But of course he wasn't going to turn down a title shot! Glad to see 2 good dudes in a main event, hopefully making that main event money!

Boxer FLOYD MAYWEATHER has singed up to fight TENSHIN NASUKAWA on December 31st. It will be a mixed rules bout under the Rizin FF banner in Japan.

So apparently Daniel Cormier will stay the UFC LHW champion until the finish of the Jon Jones / Alexander Gustafsson rematch. He will relinquish the belt to the winner, and is promised a shot at it whenever he moves back down to 205.

It'll be a rule set that will favor Mayweather. But, fixed fights do occur, unfortunately.
