Mixing Material and Programs

Just wondering, how band make some of their alternative songs, and what programs they use to mix music. Currently I use Magix to make a few mixed songs of my own, but I'm wondering what kind of programs bands like Nine inch Nails or Linkin Park uses on some or most of their songs.

NIN and Linkin Park both use multiple programs to create and mix their projects. On Year Zero NIN used Pro Tools. Their samples came from a sound library like whats called "Mach 5" there are tons out there. You can trigger them through MIDI interface and create whatever you want all right in the same program.

Its a bit expensive but the possibilities are endless with a system like this.
