Hey I own a Marshal JCM 2000 triple super lead. Is there a way to Send what the amp plays straight to my computer without using a microphone? (like via cable input or something)

The answer will largely depend on what you are trying to do,....so?

it's probably more effective to go straight from guitar to computer and get an amp simulator on your pc. in that case all you need is an audio interface with a guitar input, which isn't too expensive.

You will need some kind of interface ("motu pre 8" for example) that has XLR, 1/4 inputs and connects to your computer via usb, firewire, etc. Then you would just go from the direct out of your amp into that interface.

ok thanks Whatsitoosit, I'm looking into getting a firewire and some audio equipment soon.
