Someone played that Red Jumpsuit Apparatus song, Face Down. It was pretty good, though I hate that song. So, like, pick something lively or something R&B. That's what a lot of people chose for the Talent Show, and it was beastly. A lot of stage presence is needed for those songs, it's so soulful.

The OP guy is one of those annoying people who come here, open a thread and never post again, so we'll never know how his high school debut worked out.

At least he prompted an interesting question; what single song would you chose? I agree that Coldplay isn't the way to go. I'd chose something that's instantly accessible fun, but with cool musical credentials. Frinstance:-
