Garage Band...anyone know of a guide for it?

I have been playing around with my Mac for a while and was checking out grage band. How the heck do you work that program??? If you know of a guide for it that would be amazing!

Anyway, I have Garage Band, and it's one of the poorest programs. I tried to work it, and it's too complicated for something that doesn't do much.

Maybe someone can recommend some other application for you. There are many good ones that are free on the net, and for Mac. I just don't have their names for now.
