Probably the best thing Sennheiser made.

Just bought a pair of AKG K240's.
Will receive them next thursday.
They're at a friend's place now.

Upgraded to a pair of Sennheiser HD 280's. My first pair of quality headphones.

Not the most stylish headphones, but for isolated home listening (which they will be used for) they are perfect.

I have a pair of those for home use myself. I absolutely love them. Sennheiser is definitely my go to brand. I have some MX 880 earbuds for work use.

Up until recently, AKG K240s. I didn't have any money really to buy Christmas presents, so I gifted them to a friend.

I think I'm picking up a set of AKG K99 'phones though, and those are pretty nice.

Upgraded to K240's myself recently, Sarah.
I'm going to stick with 'em for a while.
Second hand, 50 bucks. Nice.

Next time, do a comparison with AKG or Beyerdynamic.
Not trying to bring you down, I'm just sure you'll like those better.
Because well... they are :D.

There are several more brands on top of those that I'm sure are better. But for price and quality Sennheiser wins every time.

Ahh, nice! Are they the Austrian ones, or the American ones? I had the American ones, and it may have been personal bias - but I thought my friend's Austrian 'phones were better than mine.

I had those for a long time. I got HD600's about 6 months ago and I don't think I consider HD280's a quality product any more.

Price and Quality? Philips (really, the sub 50 dollar ones are epic) or AKG (their K121 and 141 are incredible value for money).
Sennheiser is, in my opinion, very overpriced. All their sub 100 bucks headphones sound overly bassy, to my ears.
Obviously there's Stax and the more expensive Grado's. But that's a different league.
