So are usb mics genereally worse quality? Here's a USB mic I foudn that doesn't seem too bad and it is the same price as other Condensor mics I have seen.

I own the Blue Yeti Mic. As far as low priced all around recording mics go USB or not its ****ing amazing. I can record pretty much anything except drums quite well with near studio quality.

I strongly recommend it if you need a general recording mic that super easy to use and affordable.

Well its really not the mics fault. you really want a minimum of 3 mics to proper get the sound of a full kit. If you had 3 of these then you would be set.

You would be fine then. As long as your drummer isnt the hardest hitting metal drummer its ok. Just dont expect cd quality recording.
