Joining events on Acid PRO 8
 

Okay I am new at this so I will sound like I don't know what I am doing. (which is kinda true) but the only way to learn is to practice and ask right? I am working on putting a track together on Sony Acid music studio 8 and every time I click to join two events it removes one event and changes what was being played to what was on the original recording. I have them both highlighted and tried edit join, and just clicking J neither work. I just want to remove the cut that separates the two clips.

Part of the problem may be the way I cut it. I used the erase tool to jut find the section that I wanted gone and remove it then clicked on the section I wanted and moved it where I wanted it. If I am doing this improperly or something give me a heads up and let me know what I need to do to get this thing working right.
