Default Electronic live set upfor an idiot

So, I make music under the name of Oscar the Carelian (you can find me in soundcloud and youtube and whatnot) and I want to start performing live so that there are only me and a bassguitar player. (Nowadays there are few synth players and a bass player) I own few synths and a nice drum machine (Alesis sr18) and these are the equipment that I mainly do my music with. For live performance I mainly need something to just play few background tracks and that's it, so now I'm wondering what kind of hardware should I buy, a sampler maybe?

Before you start preaching me about cheap and good softwares I'm going to ask you to stop, I am NOT going to start using sampling software and that's not negotiable.

The equipment I've been thinking are either Korg Electribe ESX1 or Akai MPC 1000. Would any of these satisfy my musical needs or am I looking for a completely wrong kind of software? The Korg electribe especially has cought my eye.

If any of you could help me with this, I would really appreciate it. (Sorry for my possibly poor english, I'm from Finland)
