noob questions!

hey fellas, how are you? as a noob,i have lots of questions when it comes to music and music engineering.im starting my own band in which i play the bass (actually im a drummer since 1996 xD ) and i wanna start recording my own songs.the problem is that i wanna write my own music,so i havent found any other members for the band yet, plus i dont wanna spend not even 1 cent on studios for recording mixing and mastering,i wanna do everything by myself.all i have is a 4 string bass, but the songs require a 5 string bass as well as 7 string guitars.and since i cant afford them (for now) i would like to know if i can record the bass and the guitars digitally,(with no actual instruments) and if is it gonna sound realistic.i can handle the synths and the drums, but what about the strings? is it possible? thank you for your time!

Nah man, you need the full human playing ecspecially on stringed instruments playing chords. You can get away with it on bass I'd say though. I'm also a noob, just joined 5seconds ago! ha

i have seen people writing strings in fl studio 10 and it was quite realistic.i have it installed but i dont know how to use it.i read the help text and i also watched tutorial vids on tube but i got more confused.anyway,i will try to help myself again,in the meantime can someone tell me if there is another program with easy interface? (i know little things about guitar pro 6,is it worth it to start working it?)
