Default Old Soundcard

I bought an SB live! soundcard twenty years ago that was supposed to last only 5 years and it is finally starting to crap out on me. I got around the "no driver updates for windows XP" by installing linux and dual booting with my windows partition used offline for production. I may just be able to fix all the staic and pops I get by spraying the ****er with duster, but in case I need to replace it, what would be the cheapest alternative, that doesn't require online installation? You know, you install from a disc or installer package that doesn't require me to go online with XP. I need XP because recording in linux is far beyond my skills (you have to manually patch sound audio lines in order to get their stuff working, and WINE doesn't help... but maybe it's better now. I wonder if anyone sells unused vintage sound cards? Anyhow, I'll need solutions. My MIDI port crapped out on me, but I just switched to USB, but now my audio inputs are almost too static laden to use. It's ok for guitar, but the mic is impossible for some reason.
